The following terms and conditions apply to all of our courses that we offer.
By engaging in any of our courses you understand that we do not teach clinical care nor do we provide any medical advice. It is your responsibility how you navigate your medical care. We only offer holistic information about pregnancy and birth as well as evidence based information in order to make informed decisions.
Our services provide general information for interest only and does not replace official advice. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure the content is accurate, WPCTS accepts no liability of responsibility for any loss or damage caused or thought to be caused, by making choices based upon the contents of this site/courses/ services and recommends that you use it in conjunction with other trusted sources. Terms and Conditions for Distance Learning & Live Course by When Push Comes To Shove (WPCTS):
Terms and Conditions For In Person Training
Non-Refundable Payment: All payments for in-person training courses are non-refundable due to the costs associated with securing training venues and resources. Once payment has been made, it confirms your reservation in the selected course and is not eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
Rescheduling Option: If you are unable to attend the scheduled course date, you may reschedule to a different session of the same course, subject to availability. To reschedule, please notify us in writing at least [10 days] prior to the course start date. Rescheduling requests are only allowed for currently running or future sessions of the course and are not guaranteed.
No-Show Policy: Failure to attend the scheduled in-person training without prior rescheduling or notification will result in forfeiture of the full payment, with no refund or rescheduling option available.
Terms and Conditions for Online Doula Course (Live and Home Study)
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before enrolling in the online doula course. By booking the course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
Refunds: No refunds shall be given after 2 weeks from the date of booking, in accordance with trading standards. It is your responsibility to evaluate the course suitability and make a decision within this timeframe.
Triggering Content: You understand and acknowledge that the course material may cover sensitive topics related to childbirth and may be triggering for some individuals. By enrolling in the course, you accept this possibility and take full responsibility for your emotional well-being throughout the course.
Informal Nature of the Course: While this online doula course provides a self-governed certificate upon completion, it does not adhere to formalities commonly associated with certification courses. We aim to create a safe and comfortable environment where you can breastfeed your baby, eat, drink, and learn without restrictions.
Non-Medical Advice: It is important to note that no content provided in this course constitutes medical advice. The course is for informational purposes only. You must take full responsibility for your own health and well-being, as well as encourage your clients to do the same. This course does not grant you permission to provide medical advice to clients. Its purpose is to provide information to facilitate informed consent.
Payment Plan: If you have opted for a payment plan, you agree to fulfil the payment obligations in full before the course commences, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon by WPCTS (When Push Comes To Shove).
Community Access Fee: Should you wish to join the course community and continue accessing its resources after the course completion, a small fee of £6.99 will be charged. This fee covers ongoing support and access to the community platform. Please note this fee only applies to WPCTS Plus!
Price and Course Changes: WPCTS reserves the right to change the price of the course at any time without prior notice. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or low enrolment, WPCTS may also cancel the course. In such cases, a refund will be provided to enrolled participants.
Time Zone and Course Availability: Please ensure that the course schedule aligns with your time zone before enrolling. However, please note that the course sessions will be recorded, allowing you to watch them at your convenience if you are unable to attend the live sessions.
Course Completion and Content Access: You are required to complete the online doula course within 6 months from the date of enrolment. After this period, your access to the course content will be terminated, and you will no longer be able to retrieve the materials.
Intellectual Property: All course materials, including but not limited to videos, written content, presentations, and resources, are the intellectual property of your business or its licensors. These materials are protected by copyright laws and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without prior written consent. Unauthorised use or distribution of course materials may result in legal action.
Confidentiality: As a participant in the online doula course, you agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information shared during the course. This includes any discussions, case studies, or personal experiences shared by instructors or other participants. You may not disclose, reproduce, or distribute such information without the explicit consent of the individuals involved.
Non-Disclosure Agreement: By enrolling in the online doula course, you agree to be bound by a separate non-disclosure agreement (NDA) if requested by WPCTS. This NDA will outline specific terms and obligations regarding the protection of confidential information shared during the course.
Non-Compete Clause: You acknowledge that the online doula course provides valuable insights, techniques, and strategies developed by your business. Therefore, you agree not to use this knowledge or the course content to directly compete with or replicate your business’s services or offerings for a specified period, as outlined in a separate non-compete agreement, if applicable.
Limitation of Liability: While WPCTS strives to provide accurate and reliable information, it does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or applicability of the course content. WPCTS shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use the course materials or any actions taken based on the information provided in the course.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold WPCTS, its instructors, and affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the course materials, your interactions with other course participants, or any violation of these terms and conditions.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in the UK. Any legal disputes arising from the online doula course shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
Recording consent: By participating in our live courses, you understand that these sessions may be recorded for future training purposes. Rest assured, these recordings will not be shared on public platforms such as social media without your express prior consent.
Technology Participants in online courses are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary technology, including a reliable internet connection and access to any required software. WPCTS is not liable for technical difficulties arising from participants’ equipment or connectivity.
Promo codes Promotional codes and discounts offered by WPCTS are subject to specific terms and conditions, including expiration dates and limitations on use. Unless otherwise stated, discounts may not be combined or applied retroactively to previous purchases.
Payment Plan Responsibility Clause:
By enrolling in the Doula Training Course and selecting a payment plan option, you acknowledge and agree to assume full responsibility for ensuring that you have adequate funds available on the specified date of each month as per your selected payment plan. It is your responsibility to maintain sufficient funds in your designated payment account to cover the agreed-upon monthly instalment.
Refund Policy: We do not provide refunds or credits for missed payments or insufficient funds in your payment account. If you are unable to manage your finances and experience challenges in meeting your payment obligations, we regret that we cannot offer refunds or exceptions in this regard.
Financial Concerns: We understand that unforeseen financial difficulties may arise during the course of your payment plan. If you are concerned about affording the next scheduled payment, we encourage you to contact us at least two (2) weeks before the payment is due to be debited from your account. We are committed to working with you to find a solution, which may include adjusting the payment schedule or exploring alternative payment arrangements. However, any adjustments or accommodations are at our sole discretion and subject to agreement between both parties.
It is imperative that you communicate your concerns regarding payment in a timely manner to allow for appropriate arrangements to be made. Failure to do so may result in the continuation of the existing payment plan and associated financial obligations as initially agreed upon.
By proceeding with the payment plan enrollment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this clause regarding payment plan responsibility and refund policy.

Hiring a Birth Keeper or Doula From When Push Comes To Shove
When Push Comes To Shove (WPCTS) is a directory of self-employed birth workers who offer practical and emotional support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The following terms and conditions apply when hiring a birth worker from WPCTS:
WPCTS is not responsible for the conduct of the birth workers on our directory as they are self-employed. We provide a platform to connect clients with birth workers, but we do not employ any birth workers.
The birth workers on our directory are not or licensed to provide clinical care. (Unless you have engaged an independent midwife with appropriate insurance) WPCTS provides practical and emotional support, as well as evidence-based information to help clients make informed decisions about their care. Clients should seek medical advice from a licensed healthcare provider.
Clients should conduct their own research and due diligence when choosing a birth worker from our directory. WPCTS does not endorse or recommend any specific birth worker.
Clients are responsible for negotiating the terms and conditions of the birth worker’s services directly with the birth worker. WPCTS is not involved in any contractual or financial arrangements between clients and birth workers.
If a client has any concerns about the conduct of a birth worker on our directory, they should contact us at info@whenpushcomestoshove.co.uk. We will investigate the matter and take appropriate action, which may include removing the birth worker from our directory if necessary.
By hiring a birth worker from our directory, clients agree to release WPCTS from any liability or claims arising from the services provided by the birth worker.

1-1 consultations
Terms and Conditions for 1-1 Zoom or in person Consultations by When Push Comes To Shove (WPCTS):
Payment: Payment for 1-1 Zoom consultations must be made in full before the start time of your session. We accept payments via credit/debit card or PayPal or direct bank transfer.
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your 1-1 Zoom consultation, we require at least 48 hours notice. If you fail to provide sufficient notice, the full fee for the consultation will still apply.
Information: Our 1-1 Zoom consultations are designed to provide you with information to help you make informed decisions. We do not provide advice, and you are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the information provided.
Medical Advice: During 1-1 Zoom consultations, we do not provide medical advice. By booking a consultation, you acknowledge that you are responsible for navigating your own medical care and making your own decisions regarding your health.
Bulk Sessions: For bulk courses, payment must be made in full before the sessions commence. Once payment has been received, you will be provided with access to the course materials and any necessary instructions.
Confidentiality: We take your privacy seriously and will keep all information you share with us during the 1-1 Zoom consultation confidential. However, please note that there may be legal exceptions to confidentiality in certain circumstances. All sessions are recorded.
Limitation of Liability: When Push Comes To Shove (WPCTS) shall not be held liable for any damages or losses arising from or in connection with the 1-1 Zoom consultations or bulk courses.
